Seventh Day Slumber is a Christian rock band that started in 1996, and they currently hail out of Dallas, Texas. Their lyrics are clear, and the messages in their songs are usually easy to understand. Seventh Day Slumber has a multitude of lyrical themes ranging from praise and worship to the everyday struggles of ordinary people. On a personal note, one of my favorite songs of theirs is “Man Down.” This song touches my heart because it deals with the 24 hour/day struggles of a veteran with PTSD. Although they are not the only rock band to deal with this subject, in my opinion, it is sadly rare.

Current band members are Joseph Rojas – vocals and guitar, Blaise Rojas – drums, and Ken Reed – bass guitar.
